Week 3 - Moving Along

Reading

This week we are focusing on understanding characters we read about in stories.  We have a template we use, which helps the kids to grasp some elements of a character.

Writing

We are working on revisiting Recount writing. One of the questions the kids had from the beginning was 'how do we get our ideas organised onto paper. We are using a template to help get out ideas on paper.  You could ask about the burger ideas/organisation template used for a recount.

Maths

We have just completed a little project.  As a class we have focused on a small measurement activity.  The kids found objects to measure and label. One of the ideas was to reinforce using the ruler carefully measure length. This will remain on the list of skills to improve.
