We also had our first Ripper Rugby session. It was great with the coaches from Northland Rugby; Cam and Paul. The kids all got into the activities with the short time we had, and there will be more through the year. Below are some pics.

Civil Defense and Ripper Rugby
This past week has been eventful. There have been a few exciting specialists come to the school. First we had a person from the Civil Defense talk to us about what we should do in the case of an emergency, such as an earthquake or a tsunami. One of the main messages was how would we recognise if there was a tsunami, and if we had little or no warning. The lady talked about paying attention to the tide going out very quickly from a beach. She talked about the length of time an earthquake might last, that could cause a dangerous tsunami and where we should head if such an occurrence happened. Finally the lady brought in her Civil Defense dog to show some tricks. Below are some images from the visit.
